McColl’s has enlisted the help of national anti-corruption organisation STOPline to help protect the company and prevent bad work practices, serious misconduct and illegal activities.

McColl’s Chief Executive Officer Simon Thornton said STOPline was an independent and confidential hot-line service that staff and customers could use to anonymously report a wide range of real or suspected unethical behaviour.

“STOPline will help us protect the company’s assets, staff and reputation,” Simon said.

“As well as dealing with the big issues such as fraud or theft, people can also report any form of intimidation or poor practice they know of, such us drivers driving too many hours,  dangerous driving or supervisors causing unsafe practices.

“It gives everyone the confidence of being able to report wrongdoings to someone who’s independent, unbiased and highly experienced in handling these matters.

“We realise almost everyone in McColl’s is doing their best to make the company a success but as with any business there is always a risk that someone is doing the wrong thing.”

STOPline’s investigators are experienced in dealing with calls regarding theft, breach of ethics, legislation or policy, unsafe workplace, sexual harassment, bullying, sexual extortion, fraud and assault.
