McColl's Transport has invested in a driving simulator to run more effective training sessions for its drivers. The Driving Simulator is made in the US and provides drivers with the chance to practice manoeuvring through different environments without getting on the highway. It also trains drivers to handle difficult situations including a steering tyre blowout or brake failure.
The driving simulator is part of McColl's commitment to ensure its 600 drivers and subcontractors are driving safely and systematically better than anyone else.

National Qualification Training
Licence Training - All employees are required to have current and appropriate licenses for the day-to-day duties they carry out. The Training Centre can assist you in obtaining or upgrading a range of licenses including:
- First Aid
- Health and Safety
- Dangerous Goods
- Confined Space
- Truck License
Awareness Training - To maintain a safe working environment awareness training is compulsory for all employees. Awareness training covers a range of McColl’s Transport policies and procedures as well as government requirements. Courses include:
- Driving Assessments

- Chain of Responsibility (COR) / Diary Law
- Dangerous Goods Awareness
- Fire Extinguisher Training
